At Advanced Group, safety comes first

It’s is part of our culture and is at the heart of everything we do. It’s at the forefront of our workers’ minds, every day, and it’s what gets them home safe to their families, every night. We’re proactive about protecting our workers, by minimising safety risks and through continuous stringent training.

safety comes first

Managing safety on sites

Arriving at project sites with the correct safety is normal business practise at Advanced Group. Our workplace health and safety manager, and our labour managers, keep in contact with our clients and our workers to ensure their continued safety until a project is complete. And, when clients move to a new project site, we can conduct a worksite risk assessment to highlight potential risks and outline ways to mitigate them. Our labour manager then follows up these initial inspections with regular site visits.

Conducting rigorous safety training

Our thorough training programs ensure our workforce is well equipped to identify and handle any unsafe situations and increase the safety of our clients’ worksites. Some examples of the training we organise include:

  • Rail Industry Worker Card
  • First Aid
  • Working Safely at Heights
  • Confined space

From day one of any project, every Advanced Group team member is well trained in workplace health and safety measures, has the necessary skills and certificates, and arrives on site wearing the correct safety gear until the job is done.

Continuous improvement: AS/NZS 45001:2018

Advanced Group’s workplace health and system is third party assessed against safety standard AS/NZS 45001:2018. To maintain this certification, our HSEQ manager conducts internal audits of the system and also arranges bi-annual audits by an independent third party. This demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement in safety and to helping our clients to reduce the likelihood of accidents occurring. We provide our clients with peace mind, letting them get back to work while we continually work on improving the safety-focus and skills of our workforce.
