Our people are our most valuable asset.

We support them like family, and we care about their success and their safety. Every day. We never settle for second best when it comes to protecting our workers’ wellbeing and we always support our workers when we feel their safety is at risk. At Advanced Group, safety comes first. Always. It’s is part of our culture and is at the heart of everything we do. It’s at the forefront of our workers’ minds, every day, and it’s what gets them home safe to their families, every night. We are proactive about protecting our workers, by minimising safety risks and through continuous stringent training.

Regular training

The content of our training programs and refresher courses enable our workforce to easily identify and handle unsafe situations and regulate a safe working environment. All of our workers are ready to go when they arrive on your project site, equipped with the correct training, skills and certificates. In return, we ask you to provide a site-specific safety induction relevant to your workplace once a worker is assigned to you. And we can arrange drug and alcohol testing or police clearances, at your request.

Safety on site

Arriving at your site with the correct safety is the norm at Advanced Group. Our labour managers will also keep in contact with you and our workers to ensure their continued safety until the project is complete. And, when you move to a new project site, we can conduct a worksite risk assessment to highlight potential risks and outline ways to mitigate them. Our labour manager then follows up these initial inspections with regular site visits.

Commitment to continuous improvement

To achieve continuous improvement in safety standards across Advanced Group, and to help our clients reduce safety risks on site, we operate an integrated management system, which is maintained by Advanced Group’s HSEQ Manager. Every six months, a third party assesses our integrated management system against the AS/NZS 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard. This independent assessment demonstrates our commitment to safety in our workplace and enables us to better manage health and safety risks now and in the future. The benefits to our staff and our clients include:

  • A safer workplace
  • Improved staff morale as we’re demonstrating our commitment to their safety
  • Reduced downtime
  • Reduced number of accidents
  • Reduced costs from accidents and lost work time
  • More targeted training programs for our staff
